Kareena Kapoor born on September 21, 1980), often informally referred to as Bebo, is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood films. During her career, Kapoor has received six Filmfare Awards and has been noted for her performances in a range of film genres; these include her work from contemporary romantic dramas to comedies, period films to major Bollywood productions, as well as less publicised independent films.

Born into a family where both her parents, Randhir Kapoor and Babita, and her elder sister Karisma were actors, Kapoor faced the media spotlight from a very young age, but did not make her acting debut until the 2000 film Refugee. Her melodrama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... became India's highest-grossing film in the overseas market in 2001, and is one of her biggest commercial successes to date. After receiving negative reviews for a series of repetitive roles, Kapoor accepted more demanding parts in order to avoid being typecast, and was consequently recognized by critics for displaying greater versatility as an actress. Her portrayal of a sex worker in Chameli (2004) proved to be the turning point in her career and she was later noted for her performances in the critically acclaimed Dev (2004) and Omkara (2006).

In 2007, Kapoor received her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her performance in Jab We Met, a romantic comedy directed by Imtiaz Ali. She went on to play the lead female role in the thriller Kurbaan (2009), for which she earned critical acclaim, and the drama 3 Idiots (2009), which became the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time. Having done so, Kapoor has established herself as a leading actress of the Hindi film industry. In addition to movie acting, Kapoor is a regular stage performer and has launched her own clothing line in association with being the brand ambassador for the retail chain Globus. Her off-screen life, including her relationship with actor Saif Ali Khan, is the subject of wide media coverage in India.

Preity Zinta

She also falls in the 30-plus category. Preity has been away from Bollywood for quite a long time but she is aware that to be able to make it to the league of hot young actors, she needs to stay in shape. So the actor has gone out of the way to lose extra kilos. Preity will be seen in a sexy new avatar in Salman and Kareena's next Main Aur Mrs Khanna.

Bipasha Basu

Voted the Sexiest Asian woman in 2007 by the British weekly newspaper Eastern Eye, the starlet of films like Rudraksh, No Entry, Omkara and Dhoom 2 is taking steps towards signing on for serious roles. But age is surely no bar for Bipasha as she is okay with romancing young actors like Ranbir in Bachna Ae Haseeno and Neil in Aa Dekhen Zara. Bips, who touched 30 on January 7, 2009, talks about life post 30: "I see no change. It is just a number. Yes, with each passing year you do get wiser and it has been happening to me too. I started off at the age of 17 so since then I have become wiser for sure. But not because of the 30th figure."

Lara Dutta

The sexy damsel has gone from fab to super fab. Lara's sexy avatar in Blue has become talk of the town. The 31-year-old actress has sported red-hot bikini in the film. Thumbs up to this rocking hottie in 30s!

Sushmita Sen

The 34-year-old actress hasn't had a single release in 2008 but she made more news for her affairs than her movies. Sush believes that 30s is the best time for a woman to be with herself. Taking herself as an example, the former Miss Universe says, "I have never had this kind of space for myself because I have always been in relationships. But today, I am opening up to life like never before."

Vidya Balan

The 31-year-old actress has sadly been more in news for her fashion sense than her acting skills. Milan Luthria's Bihaad with Ajay Devgan and Sanjay Dutt, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Chenab Gandhi with Big B and Harman Baweja and Vishal Bhardwaj's Ishqiya with Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi are the films she has up her sleeve.

Shilpa Shetty

Who can say this leggy lass is 30-plus? Be it the Big Brother episode or hopping on the IPL bandwagon, the 34-year-old star surely knows how to stay in news.

Mallika Sherawat

There have been countless discussions about the sex bomb's age, but Mallika refuses to admit that she is on the other side of 30. In fact, when the tabloids insisted that she is 35, the actress said in a TV interview, "You know something. I'm 45 and I have two grand kids. They inflate my ego, my success, my failure and now they've inflated my age!"

Aishwarya Rai

She is 30 plus, but Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is proving to be an ageless beauty. She's made to the sexy, hot and beautiful lists around the world many times. Ash has also been voted the most desirable woman in the world. Age hasn't deterred this woman in any way. Even after marriage to Abhishek Bachchan and at 35, she is considered piping hot!

Rani Mukherjee had a perfect body, she looked nice in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. But that was long long ago. Perhaps she feels the need to look slimmer and toned. Apparently she has taken up strict diet and workout regimes.

Rani seems to have finally felt the heat with so many young and bold girls entering the film industry. Following the debacle of her last few films, she has resorted to skin show. Yes, the grapevine is abuzz with the news that she is wearing a bikini in her upcoming film Dil Bole Hadippa, where she acts opposite Shahid Kapoor.
