AMD "Xbox 720 Graphics Will Look Like Avatar"

Technology company AMD, who supplied the graphics hardware for the Xbox 360, claims that the next Xbox will be capable of the level of graphical detail seen in James Cameron's movie Avatar.  Even on PC, that kind of technology just isn't here yet, but AMD claims the Xbox 720 will launch with it.
While AMD would not confirm they were actually working on the 360's successor, director of ISV relationships at AMD, Neal Robison, stated that gamers have a lot to excited about.
Robison also mentioned that the A.I. and physics capabilities of the next-gen hardware will allow for every pedestrian in a game such as Grand Theft Auto or Saints Row to have a totally individual mentality, meaning when you shoot a gun or run someone over they don't all just do the same thing.  There will be no more mob mentality, where everyone just screams and runs away; every NPC will actually be an individual character.

Next Xbox Coming Holiday 2012 With Halo 4 ?

When questioned by a reader why Arthur Gies believes that Halo 4would be announced for Microsoft’s next console rather than the Xbox 360, Geis responded:


 ”Because that would be the most beautiful, system launching stroke they could possibly make next Christmas, is to attach Halo to it. And also, that would completely separate talk of Halo and how much it sells versus Call of Duty and any sort of discussion.”



Even though Halo 4 was tagged an Xbox 360 game officially, Gies added that they ”heard enough at E3 to not be so sure about that.” He insisted that it was becoming “totally obvious” that they would be releasing a new system in November 2012.
He cited a new rumor from this past week from inside Microsoft devices devision that Microsoft would announce the new console at next E3. He commented: 
“I don’t understand why people keep doing this, thinking, ‘They’re going to announce it at E3 2012 and release it in Christmas 2013!’ But that’s not what Microsoft does. They announce their shit and then release it that year.”



He concluded:
“So yeah, we’re going to have a new Xbox next year and have a new Halo with it… I don’t mind being wrong, but I’m going to enjoy being right in announcing this system next year.”

Next Xbox To Be Revealed At E3 Next Year ?

The next Xbox will make its debut at E3 2012, according to a VideoGamer report. TimeSplitters 4, from Crytek UK (formerly Free Radical0, will be a launch title.
A “high-ranking industry source” within Crytek tipped off the site, sayingTimeSplitters 4 was being shown privately in video form at E3 2011, last week. The source wouldn’t let any details slip regarding the specs, though mentioned that TimeSplitters 4 is running on DirectX 11, which is Crytek’s primary focus on new consoles. DirectX 11 will have a large impact on the CryEngine 3, which the developer sees as the cornerstone of next-generation game development.
As a game, TimeSplitters 4 will reportedly feature branching paths, exploration, and sandbox-style gameplay elements.
The source believes Microsoft will launch its next console ahead of Sony’s yet again, though Crytek also investing resources into PlayStation 4 development.
