I have just found out something very interesting which I want to share with my fellow bloggers.

We hardly use our phone and yet we get considerable phone bills.

After a conversation with our provider, Virgin, the lovely Dave informed me that this was due to calls to utilities and in particular my Tesco pet insurance (which by the way cost me over £10 last month arguing the toss because they are refusing to pay Alfies insurance.)

The lovely Dave told me about the SAYNOTO0870.COM web site which has been featured on BBC's Working Lunch TV programme, Five's The Gadget Show, BBC Radio 2 (Jeremy Vine Show), BBC Radio Norfolk, and also appeared in many newspapers & publications, including The Guardian, Which Magazine, Readers Digest, and many more.
All you do is search for the company you want to contact ans they will provide you with an alternative number which is either local or an 0800.

The lovely Dave used the website recently to ring Yorkshire Water - they answered within two rings - yes two rings, then sorted his problem out and reduced his water bills!
So please check when you make calls to any organisations - particularly banks and insurance...you could save a lot of money...it adds up! Some of these numbers charge 9p to connect and then you pay 6p a minute whicle you wait or get transfered....
so as we say up North...think on and look sharp!
